When the island starts with Rainbow

This could have been the headline of a romantic story, but it was the beginning of one of our volunteers getting to know the Rainbow in Cyprus project. @irina_nakipre says

“Exactly a year ago, my family and I came to a wonderful holiday dedicated to the arrival of two families with children with disabilities - the Aronov family and the Timosha family. We just moved to the island and didn't really know anyone yet.

It was then that something inside me turned over. I realized that help can be like this, easy, fun, open, just share your emotions and your efforts. It was a real holiday, where there were dances and songs by the children's team, and touching words of gratitude to the mothers of the children, for whom Rainbow organized this visit, I was struck by the ease and openness with which the creators of this project offered this help.

Did I know then that the project would become a part of my life as well? And what in a year will I be able to say with pride that I am a member of this team? Teams of bright, kind, open and ready to lend a helping hand to people! Of course not! But it was on this day that I realized that Cyprus is really an island of love and energy, which will definitely return to you if you yourself are open to meeting people.

Rainbow in Cyprus, ❤️"
