Another dream come true

Glorious Mira @mira.photomenyanet shares her impressions of holidays with children in Cyprus

"Cypriot time is maybe time. σιγά-σιγά (whitefish whitefish) "slowly, slowly" is the motto of the Cypriots. Apparently, I got Cypriot, but better late than never. I am writing a post about our trip to the island.

For 6 years now, we have been keeping a notebook with our children, where we write down plans for the next year and gratitude to God for the past. This year we made a trip abroad; celebrate Christmas and New Year unforgettable, with loved ones. And all this became a reality. On my daughter's birthday, the Rainbow in Cyprus Charitable Foundation gave us an unforgettable trip to the island.

Recreation is the dream of many parents raising disabled children (especially alone). But when all the finances and time are spent on rehabilitation and studies, it seems incredible. "Where I see walls, God opens doors" (from the song "Walls" @wolrusmusic). I was convinced again that nothing is impossible for God. And yes, God works with the hands of people. This is the motto of @raduganakipre foundation. We are incredibly grateful to the management of the foundation, all volunteers and philanthropists for their sacrificial hearts.

Care for us was manifested in all the little things, how they took care of tickets, about food, met us with flowers, decorated a Christmas tree for our arrival (created a fabulous mood). They took care of our leisure, we practically did not have to think about how to spend time.

On the island, I celebrated my best birthday, we visited the ship, at the lighthouse, celebrated Christmas in Europe, had breakfast on the balcony, swam in the pool and sunbathed, visited the grave of Lazarus, fed the cats with our neighbors.

We ate a lot of exotic fruits (sometimes straight from the tree), the foundation took care of our clothes, thanks to benefactors we managed to pay part of the cost of the stroller. In 2.5 months it should already be with us (from Germany).

It was the first time I sat down in a right-hand drive car in a country with left-hand traffic. Every morning I had time to walk by the sea, bask in the sun, pray and dream. And you know, oddly enough it was the most valuable time with God. And also Cyprus is a lot of new acquaintances and friends. There we were treated like family.

I am immensely grateful for the love shown by the deed @raduganakipre
