Hello, dear members of the charity fund "Rainbow in Cyprus"!
My name is Elena and I have a magical little girl Daria with delicate appearance and beautiful eyes, who unfortunately cannot see the world around her. A number of diagnoses - cerebral palsy, hypopituitarism, blindness - do not stop her from living her extraordinary life. All her life Dasha has struggled for her health and socialisation in society. Everything is not easy for her, but she is so successful that she inspires other children with special needs and their parents by her example.
Dasha started to hold her head at the age of 1, walked and started to speak independently at the age of 5, at the age of 9 she successfully completed 1st grade and mastered reading and writing in Braille. Daria has perfect hearing, sings and is learning to play the piano. We live on the remote island of Sakhalin. The harsh weather conditions of our region do not allow us to enjoy the warmth and sunshine, and Dasha is a very heat-loving girl who loves the sun. The light she can see brings her joy. Daria loves water in all its manifestations and dreams of one day leaving the confines of the bathroom to swim in the warm sea.
Dashulya is a very emotional child. New experiences give her a huge boost in her development and inspire her to conquer new heights. This is especially important now, as it is not easy for a blind child to learn the school programme, being torn between treatment and rehabilitation.
Dasha prepared a small concert for the staff and members of the "Rainbow in Cyprus" charity fund: she will be happy to sing her favourite songs and, if possible, play the piano.
Dasha is learning the piano with her sister, who is a bit older than her, and together they organise concerts and musical battles for me.
I raise two beautiful girls, I work, in the same time I get education as a defectologist, it is very difficult to make ends meet, to pay for accommodation, education and classes of the girls, I am very tired and I also dream about a holiday and reset.
I hope that our family will be paid attention to and kind people will help us to fulfil our dream to visit Cyprus!
