Hello, dear Rainbow!
I am Aigul, a mum of a wonderful girl who will soon be 11 years old. Amirochka is my only child, which I have been waiting for a very long time.
On the 8th month of pregnancy, doctors told me that the baby girl has serious brain development anomalies. The consilium of doctors strongly recommended not to continue the pregnancy, due to severe pathologies. I loved all 8 months and waited so much that I could not kill the child given to me by the Almighty.
After Amira was born, our nightmare began, our difficult journey. One hospital was followed by another, and doctors' diagnoses and prognoses sounded more and more terrible. Amira was born blind, and the doctors said that she would not walk, talk or develop in general.
While I was in hospitals Amira's father, having faked documents, was selling our property. Once we were discharged from the hospital, we could only return to my parents, because we had no more house, cars or money. To the hospital walls were added also 3 years of court trials (the guilt of the husband was proved, he was convicted of fraud, and later deprived of parental rights).
We have gone through a lot, we have achieved a lot, and the main miracle in our life is that Amira started walking.
Due to organic brain damage, Amira lacks not only vision, but also dialogue speech, there are disorders in the endocrine system, it is diabetes mellitus and gross sleep disorders. in addition to the lack of vision and speech, there is also autism spectrum disorder and mental retardation.
At the moment Amirochka is studying in the 2nd correction class of a specialised school for blind children.
Also for the last 5 years Amira has been studying at the Centre ‘Special and Gifted’ with a neuropsychologist, speech therapist-defectologist, learning to make friends with the children who visit it. And Amira also loves water in various forms. I dream and even see in my dreams how my girl splashes in the sea and learns to swim, I see her happy and carefree face. Seeing a happy face of a child, all difficulties go to the background and my heart fills with warmth and love. Yes, Amira will never be able to see the sea with her own eyes, but she will be able to smell the sea breeze, listen to the sound of the waves, this is happiness....
Dear Rainbow, please grant us a holiday on your fabulous island.
With great gratitude to You,
Aigul and Amira
