Why We Don't Talk About Charity

Writes @helenavit

It seems to me that the desire to help people is in a person's blood. A lot of people need help: people with disabilities, children with cerebral palsy, seriously ill...
75% of the population of our country does not know a single foundation, not a single company that is engaged in charity.
And most of those who are somehow involved are embarrassed to talk about it. There is an opinion that those who do good deeds are actually boasting about them or, worse, promoting themselves.

Why it happens?
I think this is a sad legacy of the past. Indeed, in the USSR they hid disabled people, as if something indecent. It felt embarrassing to even talk about it.
It's time to break the remnants of the past.
Let us inspire others by our personal example. And not just do the translation "quietly"! Let's set an example for our children.
Post your examples, repost, show everyone how important it is. Tell us about the foundations you help.
The material aspect is what little we can do to support foundations and their beneficiaries.
Charity makes people happy!
Scientifically proven fact, by the way.
